The absolute safest way to enjoy the evening is to attend an organised public firework display. These events are run by trained professionals, have proper safety measures in place and protect your family from the common risks of home displays.
If you do choose to celebrate at home please remember these essential safety tips: A reminder on the law and anti-social behaviour: It is strictly illegal and highly dangerous to throw fireworks, set them off in the street, or aim them at people, vehicles or property. Anti-social behaviour or misuse of fireworks will not be tolerated.
Let's look out for one another and keep this evening safe and fun for everyone.
Report concerns in the usual way - 101/online for non-emergency ASB or unsafe firework use - 999 for an immediate emergency.
Stay safe and enjoy the night !
